We made it to the big holiday! We were all feeling better, although still a bit tired. We hosted Christmas Dinner at our house this year. Our motto: keep it simple! Ham, au gratin potatoes, green vegetables, crescent rolls, traditional jello salad, cucumber sliders, and for dessert homemade cheesecake with strawberries or cherries and rice crispy treats. (Thanks to all those who contributed to the yumminess!) It's always an adventure fitting everyone since we don't have a large house but it's so fun. Love the family!
The kids had fun together. (Is Trevin still considered a "kid" at age 16? Hm.) Sydney took quite a liking to him that night so now they are bosom buddies.
Yep, he's having a lot of fun...
The kids did a rendition of the birth of Jesus. Dana narrated. No pictures, though. It was hilarious. The best part was my dad being an angel and "flying" away!
After dinner and everyone headed home, we took my dad and went to look at Christmas lights like we do every year. We didn't last too long but we hit the fun houses in Canby. Then we opened a Santa gift - jammies!! (and some balls for his Grandpa's dog to play with.)
Writing letters to Santa... putting out cookies and milk plus carrots for the reindeer. And don't forget the red light for Rudolph in case his nose needs a little help!
Let the fun begin!
