We love spending time with Kelley’s sister and her family. They came up to visit, and the babies got to meet each other and play. It’s fun to have the kids old enough to really interact and get to know each other!

Family Beach Trip
The girls love the beach! One day we went on an impromptu trip to Rockaway Beach and it was beautiful weather. Windy enough to see the awesome kite festival without being a hindrance in playing. The girls love to run away from the waves. Sierra had no issue crawling around and playing. We love to make our girls happy and spend time as a family!

Primary Temple Trip
I love the Temple, especially the Portland Temple! The glory, the meaning, the beauty, the spirituality… all of it in these sacred temple grounds. The primary hosted an activity to do a little walk around with some pictures. I love that the girls recognize it and enjoy going there. They talk about being married there. Oh, that they may reach their goal! I love that we are a forever family – Kelley, Joo Lin, Seoul, Sydney, Sierra, and future baby Rice!

Happy Mother’s Day!
What a lucky lady I am. A husband that loves me and beautiful, healthy children… plus a very cool mom that lives nearby. I had a lovely time with my family spending time together and going to church. Then we went to my mom’s house to have dessert and go for a walk.

Thoughts about blogging
Well, I am almost a full year behind on the blog. That begs the
question: go back and try and catch up OR just start again right here, right
now. I’ve mentioned before that the OCD side of me always needs things to be in
order. In some ways I feel like I’m failing for not keeping up with it. In
others, I remember I DO have four children that take up {a lot} of my time. I
fail at documenting all the cute and wonderful and successful milestones Sierra
and James have achieved. Oh wait, James hasn’t even made an appearance on the
blog! Now that is a total fail. Blogging doesn’t seem to be the “it” thing
anymore I’ve noticed, but I do think family (a few?) do look at it. So, not to
keep up with the blogging Jones’s but to make peace with my OCD side I am going
to nobly try yet again to be a blogger… at least be blogging the correct
pictures for the year it is. Oy! Wish me luck. Comments may keep me going… or
not. Such noble endeavors for this {rather} burnt out mama. Let’s get to it!

We love the French Family!
Ok so these are some of our favorite people of all time! Bishop French and his wife were the ones to really work with Kelley to help him turn his life around and finish the path into good choices. Sis French is the one that physically removed the last earring from Kelley when he was reluctant. I believe she still has that earring! They are so righteous and loving and a great example. I can’t say enough good things about them. We got to visit them when we visited Utah, and we were honored that we were one of their stops here in Oregon when they came. The girls must know how special they are because they opened up right away to them. Love them!

Queens of the mountain! Going for a walk with Grandma on Mother’s Day.
This girl can chow! We hit up Sonic’s $1 corndog day. If I remember correctly she ate two… without hesitation. The peeps at the table next to us were eyeing her with either morbid awe or judgment that we let her 1-yr-old (but she looks smaller) eat corn dogs right off the stick. Ha!
Awesome mom got McDonald’s for breakfast one day AND ate outside for a picnic.
Sydney took her friends to bed one day. Not everything in our house is pink and girly! Seoul thought she was so funny doing rabbit ears to Sierra. We love all time spent with cousin Amanda! Sierra is growing and was so proud of herself for climbing into the chair herself.
Little sassy pants dancer! She had so much fun and it was fun to watch her. She definitely adds her own little spice to the term “ballet”! She knew a lot of the moves thanks to Seoul’s tutelage, though. Love my little ballerina!

May highlights
Well, the problem is I want to include too many pictures! I tried to be selective. With this new camera, though, I love all the pictures of the girls and their activities… the pictures document it so beautifully!
Wrapping up swim lessons for Sydney and Sierra. They had so much fun and both went off the rope on the last day of class. Sydney was adventurous and did it on her own – hurray! Sierra didn’t cry so I figure that is an accomplishment. Until next time around when all three will be included.
We try and get to all the nieces and nephew’s events. Here are some photos from a baseball game Trevin played. He is such a talented, handsome, kind kid! So glad to have him in our family. Plus we get exposed to sports this way… all girls make for lots of dancing and fairies and pink. Ha!
Summertime fun! We spend so much time outdoors… it’s AWESOME! Sunshine, pink cheeks, capris and short sleeves. Glorious! The sandbox is always a hit, although Sierra is so unsure of it. Toys are always being schlepped outside. So glad we live in a place we can play outside with beautiful weather rather than blechy sweatiness all the time. Love our neighborhood – feel safe and comfortable. We do miss some of the neighbor kids which were the same age but oh well. At least the girls have each other to entertain themselves.
A farewell party to the beloved playhouse. We will miss it! Kelley found some streamers so he decorated for the girls to play with. At least it is going to a good home at the Sutherland’s so it will get good use over there!
