Snow!!

How fitting I still had my sign up since we got snow in March!

This was at 3/14/12 at 12:45 AM. I was tempted to wake Seoul because I didn't know if it would be around in the morning. I resisted.

Fortunately it was there for the girls to see in the morning. So exciting!

Kelley took a snow day so we all bundled up and played outside for a while. The wind was a beast so we didn't stay out a super long time.

Fun family time!

Sydney wasn't sure what to think. At one point Kelley held her horizontal over the snow so she could touch it... she arched her back to get as far away as possible and yelled until he held her upright again.

Snowman #1. Plus Seoul kept wanting me to make reindeer. I didn't document my sad attempt at making those... since she wanted 5 reindeer to go with the snowman.

Our second snow day was 3/22/12. I was hesitant to bundle up and go outside - call me lazy mom. Kelley didn't get to take a snow day again. I'm glad we did it because the girls loved it! This time we were in the back yard because there was more snow back there. Sydney wasn't sure about touching the snow until it was almost time to go in. Then she threw some at Seoul - atta girl! Seoul got the hang of the snowman and made part of it herself.

Good times making memories playin the snow. In the following days, Seoul would comment that it might snow... in the morning, after her nap, after eating, etc.

We love Grandma!

The girls love to visit Grandma’s house. Here are a couple pictures from her birthday. We picked up some Chinese food for an informal dinner. Seoul always has to have her “silly faces!” photos. Always a good time!

Park time with Aunt Mindee

Mindee loves to see the girls! Hopefully this summer we can meet up more often at the park. We had a lot of fun… especially with Mindee getting stuck in the newly laid bark chips and me pushing her out. The things we do for fun and family!

Helpful Sydney

Sydney likes to help these days... by following us around and playing with everything we clean up. Fortunately she does like picking up and putting things away when we ask. She and Seoul race each other to see who can win {put the most away].

This is at my mom's house where she discovered her tupperware drawer. She has such fun!

The Mommy

I love my man and my two girls more than I can say. They make my life complete and even on the rough days I know I am so blessed.

Lately I've been trying to improve myself so I can be better for my family.

FIRST

Strengthening my testimony of the Book of Mormon and praying more intently. I have discovered some great insight by reading the Book of Mormon with the specific purpose of strengthening two particular weaknesses. This morning Seoul reminded me that we need to say our morning prayers.

SECOND

Eating better and losing weight. The pounds have been attaching themself to me lately and I wasn't a fan. Plus I had some other health goals to work on. So I decided to lose weight. I limited calories and really tried to work in exercise {almost} every day. I can't wait until the weather is nice so we're walking more. I was able to shed some pounds and remind myself how much I love exercising. Time and logistic constraints have me doing these but maybe I can get back into running this summer. These are great... lost 1-1/2" from my waist in just a little over a month.

THIRD

Personal Time. Catching up on my daily journal and reading for pleasure. Well, I have a private blog for my journal these days because I type much faster than I write. [The unfortunate thing is that my handwriting is so much worse than when I physically wrote it, but that's beside the point.] I have also been reading more but I do have to limit that because I LOVE reading and it could consume every minute of my day. Haha!

There are many more things to work on but those are just a few that I wanted to focus on. Baby steps, right? I'm grateful for my experiences.

So, I was doing just great and felt balanced. Then, of course as life does, it threw me a curve ball. At church I was called to a position that {currently} encompasses all my fears into one calling: PRIMARY CHORISTER. This heightened my stress and changed my routine a bit. Fortunately I'm ready to get back into the groove. Isn't life interesting!?
