Splash Park

One of our hotter summer days we checked out the splash park in Wilsonville. After a little hesitancy Seoul finally made it all the way in the water. She literally did one foot at a time, testing it for a few minutes, then one hand at a time, then finally she was in all the way and didn't want to get out.

Just some randoms

Seoul loves to push strollers and shopping carts. Once she stole some lady's shopping cart in the store and started walking away. I had to stop her and apologize. The lady laughed and thought she was adorable.

  

For one of my girls' activity days we went to the Rose Gardens in Portland. The girls love Seoul and she enjoys the attention.

One day Seoul discovered her cousin Trevin isn't so scary... and she tackled him. Many times. (this was one of those super hot days and we don't have A/C - she's not just greasy).

She had a sleeover with cousin Ella. It was bedtime and Ella was reading her stories. Ella once said her favorite part of the summer is that we live close so she can see Seoul (and baby Ojo).

Seoul loves her "pretties" - earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and even painted fingernails.

Her new found foods are corn on the cob and ice cream cones. The lady at Dairy Queen gave her this little mini cone for free. She wasn't sure at first but then quickly got the hang of it!

Last but not least she likes to take things off the bottom shelf of my cupboard and try and sit in there.

Maybe you are asking, what about Kelley and Joo Lin? Yeah, probably not but we are keeping busy. Kelley is super busy at work and having fun with yard work - trimming trees and keeping our garden going. I am getting chubbier by the day being pregnant but doing fine otherwise. I entertain Seoul and do the whole mom thing. No pics of us because we're not as cute as Seoul (sorry babe -you're cute too I just don't have pictures of your cuteness!).

Family of FOUR

Yep, that's right.... this beautiful little girl is going to be a big sister!!

We are super excited!! The due date is January 19, 2011.

Anyone see the irony in the due date?

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July to everyone. We want to thank everyone that has fought or is fighting for our country. We really apperciate it dearly! We want to give a shout out our brother in law AJ who is currently serving over seas. Also a shout out to Klorissa and Cason for holding down their fort while AJ is gone.

We attempted to find Seoul a cute Fourth of July outfit but we couldn't find anything in her size. It was either really really small or really really big. That is the second time this has happened, the first time was when we were trying to find Seoul a Big Sister outfit.

Happy Father's Day!

We are blessed to have good men in our lives.

My Grandpa - miss him and think of him often. Among many things he taught me to love music. I remember he would have me accompany him while he sang (he had a beautiful voice). He would "test" me by singing faster or slower, quieter or louder, and as an accompanist I would have to follow his lead.

Kelley was able to meet my Grandpa and the thing that stands out to both of us is that Grandpa told him he had his ducks in a row. I think that meant a lot to Kelley. Seoul never knew Grandpa but one day she will.




My Dad - he has taught me to give and love unconditionally. There are more important people in the world than yourself.

This is a really old picture but I love it - it's framed on my desk. One of the fun adventures we've had together.



Again, super old picture but it is my dad in a nutshell. He came to visit over one 4th of July and requested a red, white, and blue cake. So here it is :)



Kelley's Grandpa - Unfortunately I don't have a picture scanned of him but he has shaped Kelley's character and is his "hero." Kelley has fond memories of him and one day Seoul & I will be able to meet him.

Kelley's Dad - I appreciate the man Kelley has become because of the actions of his father.




My Husband and fantastic Father to Seoul:

We have come so far and have so far to go together. I am looking forward to the rest of our lives. He has taught me so much, been a great example, loved with his whole heart, and learned from mistakes. He treats me like a queen and Seoul like a princess and we couldn't ask for anything more.

I made him german pancakes for breakfast, then we spoiled him with gifts after church.

Seoul got him a new beard trimmer. One night as we were giving good night kisses she did the hurt sign and pointed to his beard. So, she thought it would be a good idea to help him out :)



I got him a weed eater to help out with the yard work. Yay for my big, strong, hard-working man!



Then a few extras.... can't go wrong with a new orange shirt and peanut butter M&M's!!



Happy Father's Day... we love you SO much!!

One of Seoul's favorite things - BUBBLES!!

Seoul loves Loves LOVES bubbles! She says it so clearly and yells it when she sees them, whether in real life or pictures. She likes my laptop because I have bubbles as the screen saver. Lately she likes to sit directly in front of the bubble machine and let them blow directly into her face.

Fir Point Farms

Story time Activity

For the end of the year activity Wilsonville story time went to the petting zoo at Fir Point Farms. Seoul was not such a fan of animals... she likes them from afar but refuses to touch them.

She was good with the goat because it was up in the tree.



She refused to reach out and touch the bunnies when they were close.



She loved the chickens because she could say chicken (one of her first and favorite words).



There was Hazel's Nut House - a little house full of hazelnuts on the ground. She hated standing in it but we tried it :)



Her favorite thing of the day was rain. She loved walking through the puddles.



She would point and say 'bubble' because of the little spots where the raindrops hit the standing water.



She discovered the downspout and called it the 'shower'... she wanted to put her hand in the water but I didn't let her.



It was a fun day with grandma!

Strawberry Festival

So we checked out the annual strawberry festival and were slightly disappointed in what they had to offer. The girls had fun, I think.

Throw a big bouncy house in and it can be called a "festival."



Look at the big happy farmer family :)



Seoul tried chewing on it but at least we saw her head. Can't say as much for Ella - we missed her face - oops!



Seoul loves slides these days!



This was on a giant Noah's Ark. Once Seoul was up in it she had fun running around.






The girls took Seoul into a hay maze, which ended on these giant, super fast slides. This was the fave activity and they went down 3 times until we cut them off.



Yay for hay rides!




It was fun to watch the girls interact and support our local community. I do love strawberries! Too bad there weren't any along the festival but I did end with a fresh strawberry milkshake.
