So now you can know officially [as of June]:
Kelley has a NEW job! He is a Senior Consulting Engineer for the company, Presidio.
{Recap: Legacy 4 years, switched to a new job in January when he was recruited to work as a consultant for TEKsystems at Bonneville Power Administration. Now he was recruited by a friend to work at Presidio, so in June he switched to this new job. Yep, lots of changes.}
This is exciting! After much pondering and prayer we decided to go this direction. Biggest change (besides salary & benefits) is that he works from home! His office is in Lake Oswego, which is also closer than Bonneville was. One great benefit was that they pay for certification so that is what Kelley started doing… increasing knowledge and gaining certs. We believe it’s a great career move to get into a more specialized area and make himself more sellable (?). So far, good move!
That means he needed space. Very slowly we had taken over his computer area because the kids needed a play room. So we rearranged.
Purged:
Moved the girls into the bigger room (was the office) because eventually Sierra will be in there with them. Oh boy we have a LOT of toys (aka junk?)!
They loved their room.
Bye bye pink! Kelley said it probably wouldn’t be professional to have a pink wall in the background for web chats and such.
While I don’t have pictures of the new bedroom set up, as you can see we have the bunk beds and Sydney moved into the bottom bunk. We kept her toddler mattress with a board underneath. She ends up all over the place while she sleeps!
The pink room turned into the new office / toy room.
It is a good solution for what we have. Eventually we will upsize to a bigger house so Kelley can have a more private office. It was an adjustment having him home all the time… had to set some boundaries about playing, noise level, and daddy’s attention. The girls love it!

Yeah!! Now we know about Kelley's new job! :) I didn't even notice the non-pink walls when I saw the playroom/office. It probably is more professional without them!
